As there are more than 400 people watching this community, I thought I'd ask what your favourite kind of icons are, and what you'd like to see me make more of.

I'm not going to promise to fill all requests, but please throw out any suggestions you'd like - movies, tv shows, colours, words, themes, lyrics, objects, political issues, whatever. As random as you like, whether it's something I've ever iconed before or not.

Also if you want to request an icon from a specific picture, go ahead, but please give me a link to the pic. Say if you want any particular text, or want it dark or light, or whatever.

Thank you all! :)

As you know I love your icons. I would love to see some Tanz Der Vampire icons, or more of the emotional medieval art ones.
Tanz seems right up your aley with your darker style, and I just lke the medieval icons ^.^

Heart palm

I will have to go on an art saving spree, a few people have mentioned medieval and art ones.

You should definitely friend auctrix_icons - she does lots of Tanz Der Vampire icons, and they're really amazing. I think you'll love her work.

i don't know how to describe the icons i like so I'll show you. iconomicon is hands down my favorite icon community of all time. I'm always searching for other icon communities like it, but to no avail. I don't think there are any others. That's a very popular community, so maybe you could try making some icons like the ones they have on there!

eye in triangle

I'm a big fan of Jack's icons too as there subject matter is often so 'out there' and I have a number of them. However, I do think Christina's signature style is much more artistic than his in terms of textures and colours as well as the work on the images.

That's my favourite icon community too! I'm definitely going to try a few more strange and random things... He finds such fantastic images.

Thoughtful Pooh

For me, a lot of my icon choices are attempts to add something visual to go with my words.

I have trouble finding images to enchance posts & comments that say common things like:

"man, that sux"
"are you serious?!"
"you are awesome"
"take care of yourself"

Also - I look for generic icons to use for things like music, tv, movie or book posts - something I can use no matter what the specific work/artist I'm posting about...

I hope this helps - it's not very specific but it is what I look for...

I have a selection of your icons scattered across my various journals. The ones I have tended to favour are those that are artistically based and the more gothic ones.

In the former, you often frame the art in such a way that it gives me a new perspective on it. Your Waterhouses are probably my favourites. For the gothic style, you are able to capture a sense of the dark without it all being too gloomy - if that makes sense.

I've also enjoyed the drug ones :) and images such as the icon I have used here that puts over a message without being too 'in your face'.

Shadow of a Doubt

Any particular movies? I'm saving images from some of the Universal classics right now, but definitely let me know if you have any particular favourites!

Re: Horror Movie Icons!

Definitely White Zombie the movie. That one has lots of great screen moments/shots. Any other Bela Lugosi flicks too.

Medieval or gothic themed are always good (in my book)! I've also been on a search for more angel or butterfly icons (not to mention journal layouts/headers/ fo banners), but either have a hard time finding them, or they're too bright to fit my needs.

vampire

BDSM icons (including edge-play themes like weapons or blood), vampire icons, erotic gay icons (male/male) or gothic icons that depict men instead of women are all themes I'm constantly looking for and seldom find.

The Prestige / Stage

I really like what I've seen thus far, especially your dark icons with pictures of women. In addition to that, I'd also like to see what you'd make some vintage photos, preferably those with darker mood, look like.

Theatre. I also tend to lean towards the beautiful but slightly dark (emotional that is) scenes.

Hey there:

I'm always looking for some more icons with writing themes. And I'd also love to see more multi-cultural woman on icons.

Thanks for opening this up to us!

I think I like the darker themes as well as "objects". I can't think of how to describe it. Things, objects, random stuff. Sorry for the vagueness.

One of my favorite things about your community is that I don't just find icons from stories I already like, but that I find new interests through your work. I discovered Pictures of Walls through your links, actually. :)
